Demos and Workshops

Been very busy of late, have given demostations at Marlow, Sandhurst, and Horncastle.I enjoyed them hopefully the artists who attended also gained some thingfrom them. Had a very good workshop at the C/Sanderhurst Art Society, the standard of work produced was very high and very pleasing.
Just sorted out two courses for later this year, one at the Earnly Concorse, the other a painting trip to France. Hope to see one or two new people at these events.

The last month has been very busy and productive. I have had given two demostrations at Marlow and Earnley, both were very enjoyable and I thank both for their positive comments to my work.

Conjure

This study is now finished, it is always difficult as a wildlife artist to produce a pet portrait like this without putting in some sort of natural back ground. In this case I have limited myself to just a branch.

William and Snow

William just loves the snow pushing his nose through it like a snow plough.

Frozen Again

Here we are again everything frozen up again in the studio. At least the gallery heating is still working.

Parrot

Just commenced work on a commission for a painting of a Conjure Parrot. Look at my Work in Progress page to see the different stages.

Partridge

Spent hours this week-end trying to get the right views of partridge flying for a series of three pictures I have planned. We managed to get a few good reference photo’s and plenty of sketches of birds on the ground. keep an eye on the work in progress page and I will post picts as the work developes.

been had the knee sorted, sore but walking.

So Cold

Arrived at the studio this morning, thinking the world is great after England’s win in Australia, to find everything frozen up. Finger less gloves on and back to work, reminds me of student days.

Jack

I thought I’d be painting all the Birds I had seen from Australian trip but this little jack has taken me. Just about to finish it off.
